About Course

This online Arabic grammar course provides a comprehensive study of Surah Al-Mulk through detailed grammatical analysis (I‘rāb) and linguistic examination. Designed for students with a foundational knowledge of Arabic grammar, the course offers a practical opportunity to apply grammatical principles directly to the Qur’anic text while developing a deeper appreciation of its language and structure.

Throughout the course, students will undertake a verse-by-verse study of Sūrah al-Mulk, analyzing the grammatical roles of nouns, verbs, particles, phrases, and clauses. Each lesson focuses on understanding how words function within the sentence, how grammatical relationships shape meaning, and how the eloquence of the Qur’an is reflected through its linguistic precision.

Students will encounter a wide range of grammatical concepts as they naturally occur within the sūrah, including jumlah ismiyyah and jumlah fi‘liyyah, subjects and predicates, verb conjugation, pronouns, adjectives, relative clauses, objects, prepositional phrases, circumstantial expressions, conditional structures, and grammatical particles. Special attention will be given to determining I‘rāb, identifying governing factors, and understanding the reasons behind grammatical constructions.

The course combines guided parsing exercises, instructor-led explanations, vocabulary analysis, and interactive discussions to help students develop practical grammar skills. Rather than studying grammar in isolation, learners will see how grammatical rules operate within authentic Qur’anic Arabic, strengthening both their comprehension and analytical abilities.

By the end of the course, students will be able to perform grammatical analysis with greater confidence, understand the linguistic features of Sūrah al-Mulk more deeply, and apply their knowledge to other Qur’anic passages and classical Arabic texts. This course is ideal for students of Arabic, Qur’anic studies, Tafsīr, and Islamic sciences who wish to enhance their understanding of the Qur’an through a structured study of its grammar and language.
