Term 3 : Advanced Grammar
About Course
This advanced Arabic grammar course is designed for students who already have a solid foundation in basic Arabic grammar and are ready to deepen their understanding of more sophisticated sentence structures and grammatical patterns. Through clear explanations, guided practice, and authentic examples from classical and modern Arabic texts, students will develop the skills needed to read, analyze, and understand complex Arabic passages with greater accuracy and confidence.
The course explores advanced topics including Jumlah Ismiyyah (nominal sentences) and their components, Sifah (adjectival phrases), Haal (circumstantial expressions), Kaana and Her Sisters (كان وأخواتها), Ism Mawsool (relative pronouns) and relative clauses, conditional sentences (أسلوب الشرط), and complex Idhafah (construct phrases). Students will learn how these structures interact within longer sentences and texts, enabling them to identify grammatical relationships and interpret meaning more effectively.
Through structured lessons, exercises, sentence analysis, and translation activities, students will strengthen their ability to recognize advanced grammatical constructions and apply them correctly in both reading and writing contexts.
This course is ideal for learners seeking to improve their comprehension of Arabic literature, Islamic texts, academic materials, and formal Arabic communication. By the end of the course, students will possess a deeper understanding of Arabic syntax and grammar, allowing them to approach advanced texts with greater confidence and precision.
