Term 10 : Types of Fi’l
About Course
This short intermediate-level Arabic grammar course provides a systematic study of the various ways Arabic verbs (Fiʿl) are classified in traditional grammar and morphology. Students will learn how scholars categorize verbs according to tense, voice, completeness of meaning, morphological characteristics, transitivity, root composition, and grammatical inflection.
Through clear explanations and practical examples from the Qur’an and classical Arabic texts, learners will develop the ability to identify and analyze different verb categories and understand how these classifications affect meaning, syntax, and conjugation. The course serves as an important bridge between foundational grammar and more advanced studies in Nahw and Ṣarf.
