Batch 1 – Term 3 : Jumlah Ismiyyah

This online Arabic grammar course provides a thorough introduction to the Jumlah Ismiyyah (Nominal Sentence), one of the most important structures in Arabic grammar. Designed for beginner and intermediate students, the course explores how nominal sentences are formed, how their components interact, and how they convey meaning in both classical and modern Arabic.

Students will study the essential pillars of the nominal sentence—al-Mubtadaʾ (the subject/topic) and al-Khabar (the predicate/comment)—and learn the various forms in which each may appear. The course also examines common grammatical elements that affect nominal sentences, including pronouns, adjectives, prepositional phrases, adverbial expressions, and the particles and verbs that alter the grammatical state of the mubtadaʾ and khabar.
