Batch 2 – Term 4 : Basic – Intermediate Nahwu and Sarf

This online Arabic grammar course is designed as a comprehensive review of the previous three terms of study while introducing selected new grammar topics. Through revision, guided analysis, and practical application, students will consolidate their understanding of foundational Arabic grammar and strengthen their ability to analyze Qur’anic Arabic.

The course begins with a structured review of key concepts previously studied, including nouns, pronouns, verbal and nominal sentences, adjectives, iḍāfah constructions, verb types, and essential grammatical rules. Students will then apply these concepts through detailed grammatical study of Surah Al-Fatihah, Āyat al-Kursī (Qur’an 2:255), and Āyat an-Nūr (Qur’an 24:35), examining vocabulary, sentence structure, morphology, and iʿrāb.

To develop fluency in grammatical analysis, students will engage in regular parsing exercises using the last ten sūrahs of the Qur’an, allowing them to identify grammatical patterns in authentic Qur’anic texts. The course concludes with an introduction to two important grammar topics: al-Munādā (the vocative construction) and al-Ism al-Mawṣūl (the relative pronoun), preparing students for more advanced grammatical studies.
